  1. Not really okay.  It was the guy's birthday, he should be the honored one.

  2. No, it really isn't, especially on their birthday. Tone it down a little. If you want to be the center of attention, throw your own party. How do you think the poor birthday guy felt, outshone on his birthday? Also, you should have checked to make sure it was okay with the person throwing the party if you came. Try and turn the conversation to him, or go into a big group, not just you and 60% of the girls. Wear clothes you like, but don't make them too bright unless it is a costume party. It is not your day, and it is rude.

As my Mom reminds me before I go to a party, it is not "my party". Act that way.

  3. Not really. It was his night.

  4. I think you are bragging.  If I were the other guy, it would not bother me in the slightest.

  5. If you do it on purpose, then no, it's not ok.  If it was just happenstance, then possibly apologize if it seemed that the other guy was mad.  Otherwise, just let it go.

  6. I was like that.

I cooked my meal for my mum for her birthday, and because of my age (14) & i cooked a 5 course meal, i felt like all the attention was on me, everyone was complimenting me, i bought out the cake, & everyone there was like "Well Done, Gemma.".. i even forgot to put candles on the cake.

Gee i felt really guilty to my mom afterwards, but i don't think she noticed, but i still feel really bad.. :\ x
