  1. It can still work, but more often than not it ends up being a dud.

  2. First, it's not a "Wiccan" item if it has a spell on it. That's not what Wiccan means!

That being said, every dollar spent on someone else's spell is a wasted dollar.

  3. You don't need to be Wiccan to practice spellcraft.  Magic can be performed by anyone.  Wiccans and pagans use it more commonly than any other group.

Say a Christian or Muslim wanted to create a dreamcatcher.  It would work just as effectively if it were made by a medicine man or a Wiccan.

So yes.  Just remember, buyer beware,  There are also many scam artists out for your money.  Purchasing a scented oil to attract the opposite s*x might get your mojo going, but don't overspend or wear something that smells rancid out of desperation.  Do a bit of homework and don't go handing over your hard earned cash to that shady lady who promises to lift a curse for a $100!

  4. It depends. If your buying some nice candles and herbs or some pentagrams, or maybe you think that alter cloth would look great on your kitchen table then I don't think anyone is going to stop you. Just please try and be respectful. However I am aware that many would disagree when it comes to wands and athames.

I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to the spell side of wicca. I'm not certain that items can be spelled except for a specific perpose and usually for a specific person. However i assume that the magick holds for as lon as teh object does.

As for my opinion on spells and magick, they are very useful and can help greatly when used appropriately. Just don't rely on them completely to fix all your problems

  5. I not only don't have much experience with spellcraft, I am not a wiccan.  Nevertheless, the Witches I've known regard spells and magic as part of their spiritual expression rather than somethin g out of Harry Potter (though many are Harry Potter fans).

Generally a spell will work for you if you have faith in it.  How it works for you, though, is arguable.  I would be respectful about the purchase and use of such items, as many of us don't know who among our friends are Wiccans.  At the same time I would put all thought of spells and magic out of my head except to the extent I am willing to understand them in Wiccan terms.

  6. *bangs head on desk*  Wicca is not about spells.  If you're referring to an item that has had a "spell" placed on it, then it will work equally well for anyone, but being Wiccan or not has nothing to do with it.

Majick is a completely made up word people use to look cool.  They don't.  The word is magic or magick, depending upon the meaning you're aiming for.  (They are not synonymous)  If you're looking for a word to describe spells, you're probably looking for "magic".

  7. Items are not "Wiccan", people are.  I bought plenty of candles and incense prior to my becoming Wiccan because I liked them.  If you're purchasing items that have been charged for a specific use (which I think is bogus anyhow and charge my own items) you can always say a prayer over them or some other form of cleansing prior to using them.

  8. Why do you want to buy something that has anything to do with witchcraft. You should be careful not to get involved with things like that because it has to do with the underworld - with Satanism whether it's explicitly mentioned or not. I don't believe in good spells or any type of witchcraft that is considered good. Witchcraft is witchcraft. I am a Christian and in the Bible it does warn about things like this so it is against God. My suggestion is don't buy any wiccan item.
