  1. Yes, but bear ion mind that a tiny bit of bleach goes a long way.  The bleach will only kill germs.  It won't really help clean.

  2. Yes, and you might want to mix just a few drops of dishwashing liquid.  Not too much.  You can clean away.  The bleach will kill the germs and the detergent will clean.  I do it all the time.

Bleach kills germs like nothing else.

  3. Normally if it is formica the answer is yes. I do. If it is something special like granite or some of the more expensive kind, then I would say no.

  4. ~~Bleach will eventually (and it won't take long) damage the finish of anything you wash with it. So the stains will set in faster and get harder to get about. If you have to use it, rinse well as quickly as you can. Soap and water is sufficient for normal cleaning, of course keep raw meat on something separate then you can use bleach to disinfect that.~~

  5. It depends on what kind of counter top you have, and also why you want to do it. If you just want to disinfect, there are safer products that will do the job. Lysol and Clorox both make some good non bleach disinfectants. If it is for a stain, bleach will often do the job, but you will want to test the counter in an inconspicuous place first, to make sure it doesn't discolor or damage the counter top. Bleach is especially effective for cleaning off the kinds of stains that can be left by price tags and the ink they mark some meat packaging with; but you don't need to use it full strength for that.

  6. Clorox has a new  "Anywhere Hard Surface Spray" that I love. It doesn't have the strong bleach odor but kills bacteria. It's safe around kids, pets and even food. You can spray it right in your refrigerator and it won't damage finishes.
