  1. THEY HAVE THE NEW CLOROX ANYWHERE CLEANER..SAFE FOR BABIES TOYS AND DISINFECTS.. THEY SELL AT BABIES R US ,WALMART, AND THE GROCERY STORE

  2. Rubbing alcohol does disinfect. I think there are more effective things ( like Lysol) for cleaning toys but alcohol won't harm your baby.

  3. Go to google.com and type in the safest ways to clean baby toys. There will be articles you can read. But I would just suggest some warm soapy water. That is all I ever used. I mean your dishes get washed in it. Otherwise there is some things by lysol that disinfects that is safe for children. But typically warm if not hot soapy water will do the trick and ease your mind!

  4. Alcohol unlike lysol or bleach evaporates and will not leave a residue on your kids toys.

And as to the "professional" on here that says alcohol doesn't disinfect they are grossly misinformed.  Alcohol is the only active ingredient in the disinfectant hand gel all hospitals make visitors use since SARS.

Unlike other antibacterial products like lysol germs can not become resistant to alcohol because of the way it kills them.

Its perfectly safe and effective. Another safe option is a disinfectant UV light.

  5. Lysol works great. Spray them at night after baby is down for the night so they can dry. With my son's bath toys or any plastic toys get run through the dishwasher on the top rack about once a month. This sterilizes the insides of the bath toys where the stagnant water sits.  This is especially important during cold and flu season.

  6. you're best to clean your baby's toys with dish soap.

  7. Dr. Toy's Tips for Keeping Toys Clean and Safe

Watch for small parts, sharp edges, loose ties, or other possible dangers for small children under the age of 3.

Be sure products are labeled "nontoxic."

Cover exposed electric sockets. Watch for loose electric wires and other potential household hazards.

Toys that are handled frequently by infants and toddlers should be cleaned and disinfected daily or when soiled, to prevent the spread of germs.

Follow these steps to disinfect washable, colorfast toys:

Wash toys in soapy water, then rinse thoroughly.

Clean toys with a solution of 3/4 cup household bleach in 1 gallon of water. Let them stand for 5 minutes.

    Rinse completely and dry.

  8. Use Listerine, not alcohol.

  9. Yes. But make sure you sterilize it in the microwave.

  10. . Cleaning: That is, scrubbing with soap and warm water. It removes the grease and grime and washes off many germs. You don’t need to use anti-bacterial soap. Regular dish soap is fine.

    2. Sanitizing: This is done with a sanitizing solution. It kills most of the dangerous germs. But the surface needs to be cleaned before it’s sanitized, since germs can hide in grease and grime. An inexpensive, effective and safe sanitizing solution can be made from diluting household liquid chlorine bleach—1 tablespoon of bleach in 1 quart of water or ¼ cup of bleach in a gallon of water. Properly diluted bleach is considered non-toxic and safe for cleaning children’s equipment since the chlorine evaporates within minutes. You can also use other approved sanitizing solutions if the label states they are non-toxic. Be sure to follow the directions carefully.

There are different ways of cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment, depending on the size and the type of material:

    Small plastic toys:

In the dishwasher: Plastic toys that don’t have batteries can be easily washed in the dishwasher with dish detergent and hot water. This cleans and sanitizes them.

By hand: If you don’t have a dishwasher, you can wash plastic toys in the sink with a clean sponge or rag, soap and warm water. Be sure to scrub off any dried food, grease and grime. After washing, sanitize the toys by dipping them in the diluted bleach solution, and let them air-dry in a dish rack. For toys with batteries, clean the outside with soap and water, then wipe with the bleach solution and let air-dry.

Larger plastic, metal or wooden toys and equipment:

Clean the surface with soap and water, then wipe with the diluted bleach solution and let air-dry.

    Fabric toys and equipment:

Wash in the laundry with laundry soap and hot water.

How often should toys and equipment be cleaned and sanitized? You don’t need to drive yourself crazy cleaning your baby’s toys and equipment every moment. But it’s good to clean toys and equipment at certain times:

When you notice they’re soiled, e.g., after food is spilled on the high chair tray.

When your baby is recovering from an illness such as diarrhea or a cold.

After a play date, when other children have put your baby’s toys in their mouths.

On a regular basis, e.g., at the end of every month.

    Good luck smooch

  11. no way do u know that kids put toys in their mouths whatev u do dont put alchohol in i k have some sense

  12. yeah sure its cool. but you got to make intelligent choice on the alcohol type.

when the baby puts the alcohol dripping toys in the mouth he might not like it cause you have cleaned it with tequila and he likes whiskey.

Also he might touch the toy touch his eye, so if you havent already guessed, yes you have to blind fold the baby till he learns not to touch the eye with alcohol in their fingers.

  13. I would not use just staight alchohol my sister just had a baby and she said do not just use straight alchohol use some clorox wipes
