  1. Toothpick or toothbrush works well, but I would spend about five bucks and buy a club-cleaning tool from a golf shop (even Target and Wal Mart sell them). A good club tool will have a wire brush on one end and a plastic bristle brush on the other. Get some warm soapy water, maybe with a little Formula 409 in it, and wet the club face, then scrub away. Most better players carry an old towel on the course with one end of it wet and one end dry. This can be used to clean your club after every shot on your way back to the bag.

  2. Sure.

  3. or get a brush from the golf store and use that.

  4. yeah that is fine i sometimes even use a tee.

  5. Providing that the toothpick is not a metal diamond laced pick, yeah, you will be ok...If your steel head is getting scratched by a wooden toothpick, something is in trouble.

That being said I use a toothbrush to do everything from cleaning my balls (gold balls you pervs!) to cleaning the heads of my shafts... (sickos are you!)

The bristles are softer and do a good job for us poor folks!
