i have 6 pet ducks, there freindly but they only come to you if you have food, latley theyv been flying over our fence, and im not sure if they should be alowed out side of they fence to roam ,and i should put there pool out there to and then just lock them up at night.or should i just clip there wings, and keep them in the fenced in area.if they do come out do i have to worry about them getting hit by cars, going to a pond acros the street, flying away, going to neigbors yards,or do they stick around?

  1. Like most birds, ducks fly.  If you feel the need to trim the wing feathers, do the first 4-5 feathers closest to the bird body itself.  don't trim all across the wing.  The feathers closest are the flight feathers.  It should limit air access.  Had a duck, 7 birds.

  2. Its better if you pluck the feathers off so it wouldn't take them years and years to grow back.pluck the first four or five longest feather.

  3. do not do it ur self get a avain expert and it works
