  1. I think in moderation - yes. I am dieting. I haven't had any chocolate since the weekend, and I plan to have a small amount of chocolate this weekend.

Try eating fruit, or having a coffee with a sugar in to curb your sugar cravings instead. Chocolate if very high in fat, and sugar, and not necessarily good for you in large quantities.

Dark chocolate is better for you that milk chocolate.

  2. if you really need chocolate go for dark chocolate it is better for you

  3. It depends on if you want to use your calories there.

Chocolate is not really good or bad for you. You should be more focused on counting your calories and how many you burn in a day.

    Refer to these sites:

to get a rough estimate of what you burn in a day.

  4. Avoid all temptation when dieting. Eat some fruit instead.

  5. That depends on whether the "severe diet" restricts chocolate.

P.S.- The only severe diet you should ever be on would be one recommended by your doctor.

  6. Yes.  Chocolate is good for you.  Just make it dark chocolate

  7. No.. One bar of chocolate is maximum 300 calories and minimum 22 calories.

Go to this site and you can see a table written in it the name of the chocolate bar and how many calories per average bar and much more information.

    Thank you.

  8. Dark chocolate is ok because it has less sugar and it's good for the heart.

  9. No man,

  10. Allow yourself one or two squares of chocolate if you are craving chocolate otherwise you will just binge and will undo all the benefits of your diet. Hope this helps :)

  11. an ocassional treat is ok. dark is better.

to prevent cravings, there are two ways:

    1. the reason you crave in the first place, is because something is missing in your diet. so do eat carbs, protein in moderation along with and vegetables.

    2. My dietician swears by Glutamine powder for reducing cravings and also improving nutrient absorption. if you crave, have a tablespoon of peanuts and drink water. it wards off cravings.

  12. No it is not, if you eat chocolate you will not be motovated to be on this diet because you are letting things slide!

    Be harsh

  13. h**l no
