  1. They are completely fine....as a matter of fact most valentine's chocolates are made a year in advance to keep up with Valentine's Day demand....chocolate has an amazingly long shelf life as well as the cookies. The cookies are still good because if they are a commercial brand they have hydrogenated oils which are used in numerous products to maintain freshness. Hydrogenated oil is the reason twinkies and store bought bread don't go stale.

  2. A few days (Say 3-4 days) after the food expires is okay, excluding milk. But if it's a year old or something, then I would say you should throw them out. If the cookies were sealed tightly with no air, and were never opened, I suppose it would be okay. I would not recommend eating them though. Hope this helps!

  3. If it's a different year then I would worry but if it was just a couple months, it wouldn't bother me so much.

  4. If the date says 2007, then I would throw them out.  Doesn't matter if they still look okay to eat, throw them away.

  5. I get afraid looking at food after expiry date.

  6. If it smells alright & tastes good, then I would ~ definately can't waste chocolate!!!  Biscuits would be a maybe depending what they are (cream filled) etc.
