I sometimes open food items and then if I don't absolutely love it, I put it back. Why should I pay?

  1. A grocery store is a business.  You shop for food items and pay at the checkout.  You are completely out of line, opening packages that you have not paid for.  That is stealing.

  2. if your a child its ok, otherwise its not exactly "right"

  3. i think you are trolling, but whatev.

NO. totally inappropriate. it's not only unsanitary, but you are stealing from the grocery stores.

  4. That's technically stealing, but I do it sometimes and I used to be a cashier.

  5. that means you stole and its completely ghetto

  6. This  is called theft.........watch out for those cameras. You are obliged to pay for any food products that you open...and rightly so.

  7. I don't think it is right.

I mean, you are using the merchandise, and then putting it back, in a used condition, unable to be sold again. That is going to kill the profit of the grocery store, and if you were in their position, and you wouldn't want that to happen.

  8. I work for WAL*MART and seeing customers eating merchandise before it is paid for is one of my biggest pet peeves.  I understand if you have a young child that is throwing a fit and that is the only way to get them quiet. But to purposely sit there and eat it through out the store now that is called STEALING and it makes my bonus at the end of the month go down......because of money lost.  And another thing why do people eat produce without washing it first?

  9. It's stealing, but you knew that anyway didn't you?

  10. That is stealing if you eat food before paying for it. The store has to markdown that package to zero and then they pass that on to the customers. Supermarkets have a very small profit margin as it is. They can't afford a lot of markdowns. If you open the package, you should pay for it. Supermarkets are not a place for free samples unless they have a person giving them out for people to try.

  11. its perfectly ok...as long as you put the wrap of whatever it is uve eaten in the trolley so that you have to pay for it on your way out

  12. It's not okay, basically you are stealing. Regardless you should pay for them whether you disliked it or not.
