Question:

Is it ok to feed a parakeet wild bird seed. I found a parakeet and I have some wild bird seed can i feed it.

  1. You can try, but they probably wont eat it. You can try to give it some cooked rice or fruit like peaches or banana until you find them a home. You may want to ask around or post an ad on Craigslist seeing if anyone has lost him. They typically arent just around on their own, he probably belongs to someone.  


  2. In the part of the worldin which they naturaly live they are ...Wild! Yes it will be fine!

  3. Yes, most wild bird food has white millet, milo, cracked corn and black oiler sunflower seeds. The sunflower seed are not a great food but they can have some. I don't think they will eat the milo but that will be OK short term.

    Look in the lost & found of your local paper.
