Is it ok to feed goldfish food to a beta?

I have some leftover goldfish food from my previous fish and i now got a beta..is it ok to feed to the beta?

  2. I wouldn't. Goldfish are omnivores, and bettas are carnivores, so their foods would be much different. I don't think it would do a terrible amount of harm to start with, but I'd definitely get some foods specifically for bettas.
