  1. Yeah any fast food places will hire you for minimum wage.  You will usually need parental consent.

  2. i think its ok 2 get a job @ 14! definitely!

  3. you should be allowed to get a part time job as long as u keep ur grades up and all that stuff. u can convince her by telling her all the good stuff about getting a job and promise her ull keep ur grades up in school. i hope that sorta helps.

  4. I have a part time job at a small town bookstore and I am 13! I don't see why you shouldn't. It is a good idea to try to find a good job around this age. I see a whole bunch of people who need babysitting if you like that sort of thing. A dog walking job maybe. Even a clerk. Tell your mother you feel you have the responsibility to do a job and if that doesn't work print a powerpoint! That is what I did.  Just remember to be friendly and happy. Cheer someone up at work. Never ask for a raise and Always wake up with the idea "Every Day is a Good Day" Good Luck and I Hope you find a job

  5. Actually, you're too young to work anywhere legally.

  6. Well seeing as the summer's over most fast food restaurants cant hire u its agains the law. During the summer u can work 4 up 2 four hours at a mcdonalds or restauraunt near u. U will also need parenal consent and the restauraunts willingness to hire u. Mcdonalds or a fast food restaurant does hire if your 14 or 15 during the summer as it is allowed to but its a whole different story if they hire u. And supermarkets wont hire u unless your 18 for some labor reasonds considering u can hurt your back during your work time lifting heavy stuff.

  7. you can't get a job at 14yrs old unless you do something like babysitting. as of a real job working in a store or something you have to be 16yrs old. so it may not be that she don't want you to work it may be just that you're not old enough.

  9. Hi - yes you should - my daughter got a job at the age of 14 years and 10 months - which is I think the legal age in Victoria - it has helped her alot with her confidence to deal with people, handle money and enabled her to buy those extra things that she wants - so tell your mum there are a lot of advantages - also alot of stores do not allow you to work more than 4 hours on the weekend as they are governed by the employment and hiring laws of the under 18

  10. yeah i had a construction job during the summer and did odd jobs during the school year when i was 14

  11. Unless someone in your family will hire you, it is illegal. And anyways, your mom is right. You will be working for the rest of your life, appreciate the time you have now. When you are 15, you can do what I am going to do. Bus tables at a resturant
