  1. drink cranberry juice, that is one way to help it with out taking medications that might harm your baby....at least until you can talk to your doctor

  2. People get urinary tract infections for a variety of reasons.  A common one is having s*x with a full bladder.  Having it go untreated will harm your baby, but if you go ahead and get treatment your baby will be fine.  You need to get a prescription for antibiotics and that will clear it right up.  You are by no means a dirty person for getting it!  Even children get them.

  3. it won't hurt your baby but needs to be treated before it moves to your kidneys.  They should prescribe some antibiotics and after you take the course of the medication (usually a week-10 days) you should be a-okay.  urinary tract infections are actually quite common in pregnancy, as are yeast infections and other wonderful woman problems.

  4. Urinary track infections have nothing to do with your personal cleanliness; clean women get them.  They are caused by bacteria in the urinary tract.  Your doc isn't in the office anymore?  By "anymore" do you mean never again or just not for a while?  Eithe way, call the office and ask who is covering for your doctor.  You need to get medication before it spreads to your kidneys.  It should not be harmful to your baby.

  5. urinary infection by no means will affect ur baby. dont worry.

  6. its ok. ppl get them any time, for no reason at all. it doesn't mean you are unclean. just drink cranberry juice alot, to keep your track flushed out well. i know it hurts to pee, etc... you need to get to the dr. asap, as he can prescribe a safe antibiotic for you and the baby. if untreated, i can travel into your baby.

  7. yeah i got one when i was pregnant and it is fine. they had me a medicine that would not go to the baby. and getting a uti doesn't mean that you are not clean, usually women get them when they are not drinking enough water to clean their kidneys out. drink cranberry juice and water!

  8. It's not a big deal. Everything is still sealed up so it won't hurt the baby. You just might be extra uncomfortable for a little while. Everything will be fine!

  9. I had one when i was in my second trimester. i wasnt really that far along. my UTI actually caused my body to start having contractions. But as soon as i started to feel pain, i went to the hospital... and they started me on an antibiotic, and i was fine. Trust me the infection (unless it goes untreated) wont hurt your baby..

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are infections in the bladder, kidneys, ureters (the tubes that carry urine from your kidneys to your bladder) or urethra (the tube that carries urine from your bladder to the outside of your body). UTIs are caused by bacteria. The most common type of UTI is a bladder infection. Other types of UTIs are kidney infections and infections of the urethra.

If you have a UTI and it isn't treated, it may lead to a kidney infection. Kidney infections may cause early labor. Fortunately, asymptomatic bacteriuria and bladder infections can usually be found and treated before the kidneys become infected. If your doctor treats a urinary tract infection early and properly, it won't hurt your baby.

Your doctor will prescribe an antibiotic that is safe for you and the baby. You can help by drinking a lot of water to help flush the germs from your urine.

You should call your doctor if you have a fever (over 100.5 degrees), chills, lower stomach pains, nausea, vomiting or flank pain. You should also call your doctor if you have any contractions, or if, after taking medicine for 3 days, you still have a burning feeling when you urinate.

You can help prevent UTIs in several ways. First, you should always drink plenty of liquids (water is the best). You should urinate often. Don't wait for long periods of time before you urinate. Always urinate after sexual intercourse. After you urinate, always wipe from front to back to prevent the spread of bacteria.

  10. You can get them for all sorts of reasons.

It won't hurt your baby but it will be an annoyance for you.

See your doctor will have to tell you how to treat it while pregnant. It isn't common.

  11. its very common to get UTIs (urinary tract infections) while pregnant. go to the grocery store and buy yourself a big 64 oz bottle of cranberry juice. drink it throughout the day and any discomfort you are having should subside. you didnt get it from being dirty there are millions of explanations and being 7 months pregnant is one of them.

  12. No sweetie, if you have a urinary infection you will not hurt your baby.  Drink plenty of cranberry juice and it will go away.  While it is painful to you it will go away by birth and will not hurt baby either way.

  13. You can get them for all sorts of reasons - it doesn't make you unclean!

It won't hurt your baby but it will be an annoyance for you. You doctor will have to tell you how to treat it while pregnant. It isn't uncommon.

  14. A urinary infection should not hurt your baby...only cause pain to yourself! Your doctor should give you a prescription for an antibiotic which should clear everything up.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
