I have alot of cereal and milk but not much of anything else and I have very little money right now. Is it ok for him to have cereal for a snack? We sometimes would have left overs but lately when I cook its just for that one meal.

  1. Certainly that's okay, of course as long as it's not lucky charms or something super sugary!  I hope everything works out for you!

  2. yes, but fresh fruit and/or veggies are better

If you use cereal, don't make it the sugary kind.

  3. As long as it's a relatively healthy cereal and not "Chocolate double frosted sugar blobs", go right ahead! It's fairly healthy and it's tasty!

  4. There's nothing wrong with that as long as your child enjoys it let him enjoy it.

  5. yes of course you can, cereal can be a healthy snack

  6. yes its fine

  7. All 3 of mine have & still do have cereal for a snack. It's quick, easy and portable. I agree though as long as it's not sugar smacks etc.

Here is a good website that rates kid cereal:

  8. Cereal is perfectly fine for a snack.  I would try to stay away from the sugary stuff though.  I give my 4 1/2 year old cereal all of the time.  She likes Honey nut Cheerios and I am trying to keep it that way :-).  When we are going somewhere I still through some cheerios in a ziploc bag in case she gets hungry.  Cheerios or McDonald's?  Budget aside, I will take cheerios any day.

  9. yeah its healthy and they love it.

  10. Yeah why not? My mom used to put some cereals in a ziplock bag for me to eat ;) I loved it. Of course, nothing beats a fruit but it's still way better then candy ;)

  11. Of course, Cheerios was declared one of the best finger foods for toddlers so a much older 3 year old could easily eat it with or without milk.

  12. Yeah go for it, it is balanced and yummy! :)
