  1. i think it will be better to wait a  little more just in case the little kittens l**k on it ..cause they Will get poisoned

  2. My vet said after 1 hr you can wash it off and it will be as effective..

    call your vet though.

    here is more info.

IF YOUR HOUSE / cat HAS FLEAS….

I have a NATURAL remedy for getting rid of fleas in your house.

Go to the Store and buy some 20 Mule Team BORAX.

Then sprinkle it all over. Carpets, couch, bedding, pillows, pet beds, car, even wood floors. (NOT ON YOUR PET!)

    THEN VACCUME IT UP.

What Boax does is coats the eggs ... The eggs hatch deformed or unable to reproduce.

You will have to do this 2 or 3x about a week apart in order to get all the egg cycles.

FOR YOUR PET. Use the flea killer that is on the market or use a flea comb (this is also a head lice comb) especially for kittens or puppys who are too young to have insecticide put on them.

Kill the fleas that you find on the comb with soap or alcohol

  3. no if the kittens l**k it before if soaks into her skin they would get poisoned

  4. No it is not ok it will hurt the kittens

  5. I don't think you can. I think any medicine you put on the mama cat will be in the kittens milk.

  6. I use advantage all the time on my cats.  According to the package insert that comes with it, it is safe to use on pregnant and nursing females.  Just use care that the kittens don't l**k off the medication before it dries.  When kittens are two weeks old, they can keep themselves warm a little better than they could when they were newborns.  A good time to put the Advantage on her would be just after she feeds the kittens.  Either watch mom or keep her separated from the kittens just long enough for it to dry.  Kittens can get sick easily from having fleas, so as long as they don't l**k the medication while it's wet, they'd be better off with mom being treated.  Just don't treat the kittens themselves until they are at least 8 weeks old and weigh 2 pounds.  I hope you find this answer helpful!

  7. Yes, it is.  That is the preferred way of flea treating both mama and her kittens.  Once the kittens are 8 weeks old, they can get the kitten formula advantage as well.
