Is it ok to go swimming after you've gotten your ears pierced?

Ive just gotten my ears pierced and is it ok to go swimming after you've gotten your ears pierced????????

i love swimming and want to go but im not sure if u can................

Yeah it shouldnt be a problem.

You probably could, but make sure to thoroughly disinfect your eyes after swimming. If you're swimming for an extended period of time (over an hour), then take a short break every hour or so in order to disinfect your ears. You don't want to get an infection - I got one and it was horrible. :( Better safe that sorry! :D

The best thing to do is to wait the 6 weeks/6 months that they tell you to wait before removing/changing earrings then swimming. But if it's an emergency and you can't wait until then, just make sure to disinfect them often like I told you to.
