  1. That's what most homeschoolers did for a long time--did homeschooling just until high school then did high school in a school. So, yes, it's definitely allowed.

One thing to check though, if you've already started high school at home, is if the school will recognize your homeschooling work. Some schools have a way to assess you, others won't even consider it.

How does it work? Like any other student going to school: you fill out the school's registration form.

  2. Absolutely. You will most likely love high school, and you will have the opportunity to make many new friends. It is hard to explain by typing, but there are many nice teachers that will aid you and show you the ropes in high school. Just ask the principal or guidance counselor; basically anybody will help you out! It will be quite a change from home schooling, but I'm sure you will like it! I have some friends that are homeschooled, and they wish they could go to a public school, so I'm sure you'll have lots of fun! Don't be afraid to start a conversation with somebody because in some schools people are afraid to branch out of their "groups". Good luck!

  3. Yes, of course.  Just go and enroll in your local school.  If you have an issue about which grade you should be in, talk to them about it and they will advise you.

  4. yea u just go... but u need ur records

  5. itll work fine

but in highschool people pretty much know who their friends are and can be pretty clliquey

i'd suggest meeting some of the people that go to your high school before it actually starts

for example join a fall sports team even tho practices have already started your new and they will probably let you tryout

or talk to some kids in your neighborhood

believe me you don't want to go to high school knowing no one

  6. yes it is fine you do need your records thow. it is a huge change and there is a lot of shock so it is best to make some friends that will be going to te same school ahead of time, trust me. lol it is more demanding thats all but totaly worth it!!!!!   you meet so many great people and it loks a tone better on a college aplication

      good luck!!

  7. Yes, of course it's allowed.  It's public school and if you're the appropriate age, they have to take you!  Your parents pay taxes that support the school.

If you are about to begin ninth grade, it's easier.  The school will give you tests to make sure that you are ready to begin ninth grade.  If not, they could assign you to eighth or even seventh grade.

If you are already counting yourself as having completed ninth grade or higher, they'll probably give you a "final exam" for every high school course you claim you have completed, then give their opinion (the only one that counts in these matters) and place you where they think you need to be, even if that's beginning ninth grade.

If you happen to have homeschooled through an umbrella school (one that keeps track of your records for you and can send an "official" transcript), the high school may or may not accept the transcript.

If you happen to have done school at home through your state's virtual academy, that IS public school, and the records will definitely transfer.

    Good luck!

  8. yeah it's okay as long as you a properly homeschooled and if you are already in highschool homeschool then i'm assuming you have enough credits that you're suppose too. i did the same thing, but got my ged instead.

  9. its allowed
