  1. Close to where I live in Spain we had lunch on the beach on Christmas day last year. All the restaurants will be open and if the weather is good everyone will be out enjoying the day.

Christmas Day (Dec 25th) is being celebrated more and more in Spain. Their Christmas used to be the Three Kings. The night of the 5th January and the 6th.

It´s a great time to be in Spain over Christmas and New Year. If you are from the UK or Northern Europe the weather will be much warmer and it stays lighter in the evening.

  2. Hi,

Spainish people celebrate christmas from December 22nd to January 6th . The celebration ends with the Three King’s Day on 6th January and all the shops and Bars open  in the evening of the 25th as  these days more and more youths have started going out on the town.

If I to list a few best destinations in spain to visit in Christamas season are Benidorm, Barcelona , Valencia, Seville etc..

You can have great holiday there with out a problem. Most of the restaurants are full on the christmas day so you may need to book those in advance and a lot of hotels offer special chrismas gala dinners for Xmas eve. (But need to reserve your dinner as well when you do the booking for hotel)

    Hope this is of help.

  3. Sure it is. All will be open. Just decide where you are going to: beach or snow.

  4. In any of the bigger cities in Spain you do not have any problem to go out nor shop

  5. Yes,it's wonderful, what you waiting for?go to barcelona, one of the most beautiful cities in the world

  6. of course you can find shops and restaurants open on christmas, and have a wonderful time, i guess you ll go to the beaches,  but try to go to san sebastian in the north, by the french border it is a beautiful city and good weather too

  7. I was there at xmas 2 yrs ago. Tons of stores are open now when they didn't used to be.  Some of them even stay open on a regular day during the "siesta" hours 2-5pm like Zara, Pullen Bear, Strativarius etc.  I too, wondered if I would be able to get my shopping/returns done, but had no problems.
