  1. Yes, You can have 2 goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. But I suggest you dont add many more, because if they dont have enough room they can fight, spread disease, or just be plain UN HAPPY. 2-5 is a good a mount. And they will not be 6 inches anytime soon but when they get to that size, I would get a bigger tank. I also suggest you get more Plants or anything for them to play in on or under or with!

  2. Yeah, just clean it every week or a whole lot of ammonia will build up in your tank and kill the fish. It's only goldfish that make that much. I have a 10 gallon tank with 20 fish and they don't make as much ammonia.

  3. You could probably have 20 goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. They grow pretty slowly in a fishtank. It will take years for them to get to six inches.

Even when they get big, a 10 gallon should be fine for two goldfish.

  4. no if there normal/common/comet/carnival/feeder goldfish they need

    60 gallons minimum

    they are really pond fish

if they are fancy they need 30 gallons minimum

  5. yea it should be ok for maybe a year

and yea in a 10gal it should tank a while to get 6inches

  6. Yes two fancy's can live in a 10 gallon tank and be very healthy.  I am not sure where this 20 gallons per fish came from but it is bogus.  Fancy's get just about 6 inches and two are fine in a 10.

Comets or commons cannot however live in a 10 gallon.  They will get much larger than 6 inches.

  7. no its not ok. 10 gallons  is really to small for just 1
