Is it ok to have a beer every now and then while trying to build muscles?

I have recently(about two weeks ago) started exercising(running, lifting weights, crunches, etc.) in order to get in shape. I'm not trying to lose weight or anything(except body fat). but I am trying to gain muscles. I drink protein shakes as well. I just want to make sure that one or 2-3 beers a week isn't hurting anything. I'm not an alcoholic. Thank you!

  1. No. Your liver will have to work harder both for your muscle and the detoxification of the beer you have drunk.

  3. if i that was the case i would be 295 pounds of fat instead of muscle.  

  4. not its not going to hrt anything wen it comes to building muscle. man if that was true i would not  have that much muscle if at all.
