  1. yes that's fine they like it like that , and that way you can decorate its tank

  2. that is perfect!!  your betta will LOVE you for all of the space!!  it will be active and turn into beautiful colors!!  it wont get lonely...   but my betta has a pet dwarf frog... they are so cute together, maybe you could get one of those...

  3. Betta are the grumpy hermits of the fish world - they dont get lonely. They may tolerate other fish, but they wont miss them if they aren't there.

A 10gal tank is fine for a single betta.

  4. male bettas arent schooling fish so they are fin by themselves

you could add a few small shrimp, or plain coloured fish if you want any other things in the tank, which might make the betta more active

    its not a neccesity though

you have done the right thing by giving it a decent size tank, so aslong as its heated and filtered as well then you betta will hopefully live for atleast 5 or 6 years providing you dont get any nastys in your tank :)

live plants are aslo a good idea as bettas love them + they also improve your water quality

  5. It won't get lonely, but that tank is large enough to add buddies! And NO bettas do NOT attack everything! Some bettas are overly aggressive, but not many. Most bettas are very passive and only attack something that is colorful and has long flowing fins that looks like another male betta. I say a school of rummy nose tetras or some cory cats! African dwarf frogs go good with them! (DWARF not clawed! Clawed frogs get to big and will EAT your betta!)

  6. He is actually in a great situation, being all by himself in a great tank. This way, you have a lot more room to decorate, and he can swim alot more and live longer.

  7. It's WONDERFUL to have your betta in a 10 gallon (filtered, cycled, and heated) aquarium alone!  I currently have one of my males in such a tank and he's happier with more personality than ever.  You can add all sorts of plants and decorations and he will be even happier.

  8. sure it's ok to have a betta fish in a 10 gal. tank  ( normally they have them in smaller fish tanks) but freedom won't hurt a fish.

i've herd betta fish fight when there are more than one in the tank.. but i'm not really sure if they fight, but i wouldn't want to have 2 betta fish in 1 tank b/c you never know if they'll start a fight ... hope i helped =]

  9. no it will be perfectly fine by himself! Think of it this way how many bettas are kept by themselves in little bowls and here is one in a 10 gallon livin the life he won't want to share hah!
