Is it ok to keep contact lenses in the refrigerator?

Last time I kept then in the bathroom and when I opened the package the solution was all dried out and I had to throw them away .

  1. Hmmm, your package must have had a leak...a small tear in it or something. Normally they can be stored for years at room temperature without ever drying out.

    Your contacts should be stored at room temperature, not in the fridge. We keep them around for 2 and 3 years sometimes on the shelf, and they never dry out.

    I've heard people say that after being in the fridge, the contacts will sting a lot when you put them in, not sure if that's true tho.

    Perhaps finding a different place to keep them, away from the often high humidity of the bathroom would be a good bet.
