  1. Your cat might fall accidentally.  Cats are very curious creatures and love windows.  If there is a ledge on the window, he or she might jump up out of curiosity and fall.  Can you take your cat to the house of a family member or friend while the windows are being replaced?

If the window in the bathroom isn't being replaced, then just make sure there is a litter box and plenty of food and water in there for the cat and  he or she will be fine for the day.

  2. If you got a box or a friend/relative that would be ideal. If not, maybe try a closet?... As long as your Cat is not a scratcher. Yes, your cat would probably jump off, or try to find a way down. Cats do not like to be conformed to one place, believe me, I got scratches all over me right now lol. GL.. and remember.. I have The Humane Society on speed dial lol

    Hope this helps!

  3. If there is a window and screen on the window, yes.  If not, put it in the cat carrier until you have a room that does have a screen and window.

    ??????

  4. Yes a cat can jump out, and contrary to popular believe, cats DO NOT alway's land on there PAWS from HEIGHTS and can get seriously injured.

i would temperarily move the cat to say a bedroom, with the litter tray.

Alot safer this way, You don't risk the cat falling down or injuring itself

  5. Just in case, I think it would be safer to lock the cat in the bathroom so that he/she doesn't escape out the window or disrupt the work. As long as you leave food, water, and a litter box in the bathroom with your cat, he/she should be fine for that amount of time.

  6. it's okay, just make sure you leave him with fresh food and water, and a litterbox.

Cats can jump from really high places...you never know.

  7. I think you should board her for the day, or take her to a kitty day care, or ask your vet to keep her for a few hours and explain to them what is going on, they shouldnt charge you for only a few hours, that would be the safest thing to do, but if your bathroom doesnt have any windows then it would be okay, just give her a litter box and food, water and toys and she will be ok, if you have windows in the bathroom then take her to the vets, OR could you have a friend or a family member take care of her for the day?

  8. yes a cat would. Just send it to a boarder or a friends house for a little while

  9. Leave fresh water and food.  Leave litter box in the tub.  Leave a few treats and a couple of toys in the bathroom to keep you pet happy sprinke some catnip on the bathroom floor this will help to relax your kitty.

  10. maybe. ask a friend if they can take your cat for a bit.

  11. oh my goodness yes the cat will be fine.  Put away and lock up any toxic stuff, put a litter box and food and water and some toys and maybe a towel or something soft for him to lay on and relax

  12. Well i don't really know if it would jump out i don't think it would but just in case block it and if you leave your cat in there you have to go in there once and a while and put toys in there for it because some cats don't like to be lonely.

  13. It would be okay as long as you leave food, water, and litter box.  Yes a cat would jump off the fifth floor.  When they jump through a window they really don't know what's on the other side, and even if she stopped and looked she out first, they don't have the same concept of height as we do.  Don't take the chance.

  14. As long as it has food water and a litter box.THen it would be busy doing something.

  15. Yes he could, especially if there are birds around or near the ledge. he/she might try to pounce or attack them. I would cover the window with a wooden plank? or something sturdy like that where the cat couldn't get around it or through it.

and make sure your cat has a lot of water and food and put his litterbox in there too! (:

  16. If there is a ledge out of the window he/she may go out there and accidentally fall.

  17. Yes, completely fine for his safety. Put him some food & water in there and of course his litter box.=)

  18. I'm assuming you want to leave it in the bathroom because the window in there isn't being replaced and you think the cat will be safe there while the windows are replaced in the rest of your apartment? If so then absolutely, it's fine to do that. Make sure the window is closed, the toilet seat is down and there's fresh water and maybe give the cat a towel to lie on. She'll be fine.

  19. Yes; make sure your cat has plenty of water.

  20. well leave food in there...and block the windows with something he cant get out of...like a lot of duct tape.

  21. I say it is safe, as long as the bathroom window isn't being replaced too.

You might be better off buying a large dog crate, and just cleaning it and returning it when you get home.

If you do leave it in the bathroom, just make sure there's plenty of water, and some towels for comfy sleeping.

  22. make sure they are blocked so it can' fall, but just make sure it has plenty of toys, food and water. and if it hasn't done its buisness, put the cat box in there ro. no longer than 6 hours though... ^.--.^

  23. Yes. Leave him locked up - put a BIG note on the bathroom door - or better yet, put him in a crate in the bathoom. One of the workers might need to use the bathroom and he could get out.

If you don't have a crate, buy or borrow one. My cat much prefers the soft-sided crates.

Better safe than sorry any day.

  24. Absolutely.  Food, water and a litter box and make sure the window is closed.

There's a syndrome called "high rise syndrome".  Cats sitting on the edge of an open window can easily fall out due to a misstep, swatting at an insect, etc.  There doesn't seem to be people instinct in cats meaning if we look out a 5th story window we are not about to play on the ledge but cats don't have that awareness.

  25. If you could leave the window in the bathroom shut, it'll be fine with plenty of water and food and a place to lie down. Just make sure its cool enough.

If there's an opening, a cat will find a way through it, so if there is a window in there it needs to stay shut.

  26. I would think so just make sure it has food and water and a litter box. People leave there pets in the homes all day while there at work. It would just be a smaller place for the cat to stay for a day!

  27. Tell them to replace the bathroom window last and leave the kitty in there until it's time to do that.
