  1. guinea pigs can get chilled very quickly. i keep mine indoors, & notice that after v few minutes in the outside run they can grow cold - which u can check by feeling their feet.

gpigs do need to avoid cold, so i wd say its safer to keep them indoors, & regulate carefully the time outside. in UK it can grow chilly in short time.  only leave outside if warm sun all the time, otherwise check every 15 mins or so.

    gd luck

  2. well during the day yeah. But not at night, sumthing might eat it

  3. it should be ok.. they live outside in the wild anyway, so i dont think theres anything wrong with living outdoors

  4. i have two new guinea pigs , and have had rather a lot of rabbits (which are kept with guinea pigs) , and from experience i'd say that you can keep tm outside in a hutch. You must make sure the hay in the sleeping compartment is always filled to the top so they can snuggle and burrow in it. Also if its freezing, you should put warm water out so it doesn't freeze.

  5. My friends has 2 guinea pigs and she brings them indoor in winter as it's too cold for them and they would die. Try to search online or talk to the vet.

  6. It depend where you live.  I like in the UK where the climate is temperate.  In the summer they can be outside in just the hutch.  The rest of the year they need to be in the hutch in a shed or porch.  If it freezes mine come inside the house into a cage.

The enclosure must not allow an rain to get in and should be thoroughly insulated and have lots of bedding.  It should also be in the shade.

  7. Did you give them plenty of water because they could of gotten dehydrated on a warm day? But i suggest not beating yourself up about this because unless you are thiniking of getting another it will only make you feel worse! x*x Sorry bout you pets hunni.

  8. wen they go outside u have to vacinate them so my pet shop ses anyway its about £40 or so its werth it though that COULD be y they are dieing erlia then usual hope this helps

  9. There best kept indoor at all times unless there out during the day for a few hours, they can either get to cold or over heat during the summer. There more like hamsters or rats then they are like rabbits. They mihgt live outside in the wild but they come from hot climates and not used to the british weather. Best keep them inside.
