Is it ok to let someone court you through text?

I know him and he know me. but he doesn't talk to me personally. Instead he just text me. And i text him back. When I pass him by, he will just look at me and smile. I smile back at him.

Texting, if you've never talked before can be so impersonal! Move the courtship to the real world coz thats how you'll get to know the person better. Why not text him back and ask if he wanna meet? Or instead of texting him back call him and start the dialogue going. All these gadgets can never make up for the real thing. Courting is about spending time together, actually.

either you ask him that through texting, or you strike up a conversation the next time you see him

Of course it is ok if that is all you want. If you want a meaningful relationship with him then texting isn't going to do it.

he explains.
