I'm going to put in pretty extreme ideas hear that I actually don't believe in (so please bear with me, but do answer the question please).

Giving very severe penalties to crimes we hardly care about like traffic violations or minor drug offenses. Also eliminating minimum wage so people who have minimum wage jobs would be forced to work even more hours or get an education and stop working those S****y jobs. Eliminate public education so parents would struggle and adapt to possibly needing a higher education to get more prestige and possibly higher salary. Laugh at fat people and insult them so they feel like there bad people and would change there life style to not be shunned.

P.S. Again I don't believe in any of those ideas (except maybe the drug problems) but I do really really wonder if we made this world so strict we could eliminate all these problems. If you don't realize whats actually happening we really are doing it as our world advances. With cops and government and money

  1. It might be...they don't say survival of the fittest for nothing (social evolution)-- a great author to read is Michele Foucault "disciplin and punish: the birth of the prison"

  2. These are not novel ideas.  There have always been harsh and punitive societies.  There is no evidence that such societies lead to great advancement.  For many, the world is harsh and difficult already, without any kind of social engineering.  So, in my opinion, bad idea.

  3. No.
