Is it ok to mix and match dedroom furniture of different color?

I recently moved to a new place and had to ger rid of my bedroom furniture because it could not fit. The only thing that I have left is a small side table and the bed frame which are both chocolate color. I just want your suggestion, I am trying to get new dresser the most sensible way...free or close, which does not garantee that all of it will match. What do you guys think?

I have found that a lot of people had  rather have mismatch furniture. I think it gives a room character.Matchy matchy can be boring. But you need to be able to put the right mismatched furniture together. It is best if you keep the same family of color but different styles or okay.

You absolutely can!  Designers often say that a room shouldn't be too "matchy matchy".  If you get a piece of furniture, but then don't like the look of it next to your other furniture, you can always paint them to match.  Or you can paint one piece a good contrasting color, like black.
