Is it ok to move my directtv satelite dish?

You know, to get more channels, make channels look better, etc.

Moving it will not you to get more channels.  You may want to move it to shelter it from weather.  Mine was on the peak of my roof and when windy I would get a scrambled screen on occasion.  I moved it down the roof to get out of the direct wind.  Any signal over 80% is adequate.  You can test signal strength in your menu.  If you get that or better, moving it won't help.  You need to make sure you have a clear view of the southern sky to get a signal.
