Ok, so today I found this glove, its in good condition but its a first basemens glove. I was using it and it feels and fields great. My other glove has no padding and another glove i have the ball just slips out of it. So I was practicing with the glove today and it catches great, picks up ground balls great and I can still reach in to grab the ball fine. I'm trying out for the college club baseball in the ball and was just wondering, will it be fine to play with a first basemans glove? Cause like I said, i can field great with it and it feels great on my hand.

  1. if you feel comfortable with it and the refs don't mind go a head

  2. i have teammates that use a 1st base glove for 3rd and short stop, the only thing you gotta make sure first is that its legal in the league or college level your gonna play for. I know of a few leagues that will not allow you to use a 1st baseman glove in a diff position other than 1st base. so make sure w/ur coaches or with the umpires that are taking care of your game.

  3. Play with what ever glove you want. The First base glove picks up groundballs easier than the others.

I use a infield glove for every position except catcher.

  4. If it feels good, you should be fine. Great ball players can adapt. Believe it or not, once I played center field with a Catcher's Mit. No errors!
