Is it ok to put a rat on a rat leash?

I'm about to get a rat and i want to know if its ok to put my rat on a leash?

Also, what age do you think will be appropriate to start putting my rat on the leash?

You can't have just one rat. They need companionship. You are not going to spend 24 hours every single day with it, are you? Get two! One will get depressed and die.

And you should never use a leash. These are incredibly dangerous. Rats are prey animals, and get scared of the littlest things. When they do get scared, they run and hide somewhere until they think it is safe agian. If you drag them around, you wil lstress them out so much, they will develop health problems! And whe nthey do get scared of the silliest thing, and run, but are attatched to a leash, they will literalyl crush themselves!! Don't take a risk like that. Leashes are for dogs.

its perfectly fine mine use a lesh,well i started putting mine on the lesh as soon as they were able to fit in it.

my rats are 2 in a half years old and really heathy,they use a lesh,they are fine so some people dont know what they are saying and just put stuff down to get points.
