cos this stupid male clerk mocked me. not to my face or i could have kicked his a**. or you know bitten and scratched haha. It just seems safer to put my feet down cos sometimes the farmbike slides out. also one time i only kept it upright by my arms and if my feet weren't on the ground i would have offed over. altho i spose i could just put them down if i feel i am gonna fall or slide out. what is the correct procedure?

(Also i am only using my back brake to stop cos of mud)

  1. how are you going to stop if you dont put your foot down ?

  2. #1 why don't you use both brakes?

why do you want to park in a muddy spot?

if you are not stopped, keep your feet on the pegs

  3. BC is kind of right.  When riding in mud or on slippery surfaces like gravel most of your braking power should come from the rear brake.  You can still use your front brake if needed.  In general you should always keep your feet on the pegs except when stopped or to prevent a fall.  By keeping your feet on the pegs you can still use the brake and shifter if needed. Standing on the pegs while riding in the mud has no particular advantage unless you are trying to ride fast.

  4. In wet or mud, you use only your rear brake.

When going slow you shift your weight on the pegs to stay upright.

If your plowing with your feet down, then Id have to agree with the guy.

If your droping on foot as not to fall over, that is how its done
