  1. yes h**l be fine  espeacially coz its summer. me and my sister did this they love the attention and dry quite fast

  2. no needs to be dry or they will catch cold

  3. yea if you think its too wet use a paper towel to dry what you can.

  4. ONLY if its really hot , summertime, and only if theres no soap. clean your cage with a strong garden hose or pressure hose if needed but i think the soap might poison the guinea pig.

  5. yes, you may just make sure their dry.

  6. No, no, no.  It doesn't matter what time of year it is.  Don't put your guinea pig back in the cage until it is completely dry because it can catch a cold and get sick.  Also, your guinea pig doesn't need to be bathed.  Guinea pigs are like cats.  They clean themselves.  If you think that your guinea pig smells then wipe him off with a baby wipe.  They can go into stress very easily and go into shock.  In the future don't bathe it.  I am an expert on guinea pigs.  I have had them for eight years and I have even had one who had a litter.  I had to learn the hard way to never bathe them.

  7. Sure, but I'd make sure the cage is clean too.  No sense in putting your clean GP into a dirty cage.

  9. Additionally, if it is a long-haired guinea pig, you may want to do a "butt bath" every so often and keep his/her hair trimmed back there for the pig's health and happiness.

Typically, piggies don't need full baths, as already stated.  Once or twice a year should be the only times.

Also, if they are not being kept in a place between 65-75 degrees, I would recommend giving them a brick under their water bottles, or wrapping a frozen water bottle in a t-shirt and placing it in their cage to give them a way to cool down.

Use a 50/50 water & vinegar solution to clean your cage bottom.  It's a natural disinfectant, safe for animals and people, and neutralizes the ammonia odor from urine.  Don't use soap.  Most of the "cleaners" you buy from pet stores have odd chemicals in them.  Why take the chance?  Besides, a lot of them were tested on animals.

  10. I'm a bit confused here - is the cage wet? Or the guinea pig? :-S

Either way, wait until it's dry!
