  1. I would stick with the 93 octane if I where you. There are two grades of gas that are refined 87 and 93. Plus is merely a 65 to 35 blend to create an 87 octane. The branded gas like Shell, Texaco and Chevron, Exxon and Mobil get more additive than the little mom and pop on the corner. If you want to try some 87 octane I suggest you thy one of the majors.

  2. If the manufacturer recommends premium, I would stick with it. By going down a level, many things can happen. The combustion rate is different, so you may not get as much power. This is especially true in turbo cars. Also, your miles per gallon may actually drop off. In many cases, the mileage added by premium is more than enough to make up for the extra 10 cents per gallon.

  3. yes its fine but stay off the diesel or u wont be going anywhere lol

  4. If your car is recent year model, they come with engine Knock sensor.  If so, yes it is safe.

But you will notice lack of power.

    Good luck...

  5. Depends on the car.  My son gets by with a blend of 89 and 91 octane in his Lincoln ls v8.  High performance engines will need the highest octane,

  6. Most vehicles require regular "87" octane gas and using a higher octane rating will most likely not give you better fuel mileage.

While higher octane gas is required in some vehicles, its use is to prevent "knocking or pinging" within the engine of your vehicle.

Using a much higher octane rated gas when it is not required can cause the fuel to not burn completely. This results in poorer fuel economy.

Some vehicles require this higher octane gas and not using it can leave one with undesirable results.

As always, consult your owners manual.
