  2. We sell loads of Wooden blinds for bathrooms, and haven't yet had a complaint about bending or warping. The wood used tends to be treated, and with sufficient ventilation in your bathroom, the blinds will never warp. You will more likely see your window frames and skirting boards rotting before your blinds change shape.

It is advisable to ventilate the room with an extractor fan, or simply by opening a window to release the steam.

Our selection of wooden Blinds are made from hardwood and coated in a special formula varnish/hardening agent to ensure a long life.

  3. No, as long as you use a bathroom exhaust fan after bathing or showering. The real key is controlling moisture. You'll see mold growing on the walls before you see wood damage if you are introducing to much moisture in the room.

  4. I would definitely steer clear of wooden blinds in a bathroom due to the levels of moisture.  Even if you have a fan with a turbo engine on it and huge windows there will always be some moisture in a bathroom.  It is inevitable and this will lead to your blinds warping.  I wouldn't risk it and I would ensure that you buy something made of synthetic materials that are easier to clean and wipe down.

    This is from personal experience.

  5. Wood would probably be fine, but as you know moisture causes wood to warp eventually.  Certain woods are less prone to it than others, depending on their density.  For example, pine is not a dense wood, so would be more prone to warping.  Oak, on the other hand, is dense, and would be less likely to warp so much.  Moisture will also affect paint surfaces, causing them to peel from the wood.  If the wood is not dense, the varnish could also peel.

  6. I don't know how porous the varnish is, but if you have already purchased them, I would pick up some varnish and do the edges. If you haven't purchased them, I would pick up some synthetic blinds. You can get ones that look just like wood and they are not porous and would last a long time.
