  1. From the Computer Tech:

Formating a HDD has no bearing on damaging the HDD. It will be perfectly fine

    Have a gr8 day,

    NightHawk

  2. Go ahead. Most HD these days are good for many years.

  3. Depends upon the format, if you do a quick format it doesn't put too much load on the hdd and should be fine to do every 3-6 months if you so choose. Doing a full format;I wouldn't suggest doing that very often because it does produce a lot of wear.

  4. i've reimaged my machine 5 times in the last 2 months. I finally have it the way I want. And HDD is running better than ever ;) :D

  5. Yes, it is ok.  The only pain in reformatting your Pc is that you need to reinstall everything from scratch and losing files you haven't backed up. Well, If you got lots of application to install then it is time consuming.  My best record in formatting my HD is in 7 times in one day.

  6. it wont hurt your hardrive but you may run into a problem with microsoft if you use your disk to often. they notice how often you use it and can be funny ifits more than three times.
