Is it ok to sleep in a room that just been painted with matt paint ?

Iv just finished paitting my Room with matt brilliant white paint , is it ok to sleep in the room ?

I only ask this since it smels really bad :)

I don't think there's scientific evidence to say that it's safe or unsafe. Personally, I'd err on the side of caution and avoid sleeping in the room until the smell goes away (maybe 1 or 2 weeks).

Some people are sensitive to the fumes given off by even water based paints. If your hunch is that you'll be OK, and haven't had any problems before, by all means sleep in the room, but leave the window, or at least a door open, to avoid the build up of fumes.
