Is it ok to smoke common sage (or something similar)?

Ok so I don't have any ganja on me and I wanna try smoking some sage type leaves that I found. It says on the package that you're supposed to use it to rinse your mouth.

But can you smoke it? Even if it has no effects?

It, too, has effects.

The area in which I live has been packed in for weeks with smoke from surrounding fires. Even the healthiest lungs are beginning to succumb, the reverberations of which cause other health problems.

Choosing to recreationally ingest smoke sounds about as logical as inhaling water. Our lungs were made for fresh air, to sustain our bodies during our short stay on Earth, to make a difference in the life of another.

If you have healthy lungs, I encourage you to do something better with your time. Rather than numb out, think about making a difference in the life of a person or pet in need.
