Is it ok to start on a computer instead of paper?

i am writing a story and instead of doing a rough draft and starting on paper i started typing it on my laptop without using paper, is that ok?

    and among other benefits, you are saving trees


  2. of course. computers get things done way faster.

  3. That should be fine, as long as you don't have to present your rough draft to prove that the work is actually yours and isn't plagiarised.  However, if it is ok for you to not hand in a rough draft, then by all means go for it.  

    I personally find it much easier to write my rough draft up on my computer as I don't have to write two copies out and it is much easier to change.
