Is it ok to take aspirin when you have heartburn?

just like the title. i'm basically getting aches and a slight fever, but i also have a heartburn condition. is it okay to take aspirin? or is there something else?

  1. Aspirin increases the amount of time it takes for your blood to clot. It causes mild gastric bleeding so it may make the heartburn worse. All NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, Indocin, Advil, Excedrin, etc.. do this).

    If you have any bleeding disorders, or are taking other conditions, it may not be the best thing.

    Are you taking meds for the hearburn? If so, you need to call the pharmacy and see if there is a drug interaction between that drug and the aspirin.

    If not, talk to your doctor about ways to prevent the heartburn or do research online.


  2. Tylenol would be easier on your stomach.
