Is it ok to take baby rabbits for there mother at 5 weeks old?

I've just brought two dwarf rabbits one is a runt. The breeder sold them to me at 5 weeks old. I'm worried that there to young to leave there mother. What should I do to insure that they stay happy and healthy.

  1. 5 weeks old is fine. Generally they say 6 weeks, but if the bunnies are weaned off of their mother and eat pellets and drink water, then they are old enough to be away from their mother. Just make sure your bunnies have pellets and water, and occasionally give them timothy hay.

    Breeders generally do not care about their well being

    Just want to make $ and unload stock.
