Is it ok to take xanax and valium at the same time for anxiety i mean extreme anxiety??

I have been on Xanax about 4mgs a day now doc prescribed Valium as well cause the xanax is just not working like it should. Im just on a trial basis, I know i just cant stop the xanax with the valium have to wean but just dont know how well they are together

maybe neither of them will work?   what have they done for you so far?  anxiety can be from lack of nutrition, particularly a lack of omega 3 oils.  do you get better if you eat some fish or walnuts?  If you are doing something you aren't supposed to be doing you'll have anxiety and there's no pill that can help you with that..  

and sometimes you just have to get with a therapist and work out all the past trauma you are dealing with - and that takes time and there's no pill than can help with that either.  It is so upsetting that doctors are so quick to give people pills for every little thing and sometimes things take time to work through.

why don't you exercise, find something mindless to do, help somebody..  

do everything you can to improve your nutrition, exercise more, get more sunlight.  these drugs are harmful to your body.  Tell God about your troubles..

You are treading dangerous water.  Please be careful.  My guess is your doctor is slowly going to take you off of the Xanax.
