  1. I don't know what a topical solution is but if you just dilute some hydrogen peroxide with water and just swish it around your teeth for 20-30 seconds it will help whiten your teeth.

  2. I know you can use regular hydrogen peroxide to whiten your teeth.  The solution should be somewhere along the lines of 5 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide.  Anything more and you may destory your gums.

As far as the definition for "topical solution" I believe anything that is "topical" is a "cream" version of a solution.  So it's meant to be used on SKIN only.  It is usually advised against to put any topical treatments in the mouth or any orfaces.

    Good luck.

  3. no way gargle baking soda and water solution

  4. I am a dental hygienist. Yes, you can use half hydrogen peroxide and half water solution as a rinse. However, I don't think you will achieve the whitening result you are looking for. There are other OTC whitening products that work quite well.  Some are inexpensive like, Listerine Whitening rinse (in the white bottle), and Crest white strips. I would recommend going to your dentist a buying the Crest white strips in the prescription strength. But, try the Listerine Whitening. I was very surprised at how well it worked.

  5. Hydrogen peroxide will whiten your teeth, but will turn your gums into dessicated liver.

  6. You can gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide. No it will not hurt your gums.

It is sometimes recommended in cases of severe throat infections. The taste is horrible. And do not swallow it.
