Is it ok to use oil paint over dried acrylic?

I'm doing a painting on stretched canvas with an acrylic background and would like to use oils for some of the main characters. has anyone had success with this combo? thanks

Yes, you can paint oil over arcylic, but not the other way around; you can't put acrylic over oil.  It will fall apart over time.

Yes you can.  The oil will eat the acrylic away.  But the acrylic would peel from the oil.
