Is it ok to use unopened but old makeup?

i know it's not good to use opened old makeup because of the bacteria.

but is it ok to use unopened old makeup?

..how unopened? like sealed with shrink wrap plastic unopened? if yes, try running ur applicators on it, if it flakes, then don't use it. and if it has mold, dump it!

Hmmm, if its extremly old i would say no,, like fondation or something like that . But if it has a seal and has not been exposed to anything i dont see why not. But if you are talking mascara, that is unopened it is perfectly fine to use. The reason you hear all the stuff about how gross it is to use old mascara is because once you have opened the mascara and used it, you take bacteria from your lashes and put it in the mascara container. Then over time in that bottle of mascara the bacteria is growing and contaminating it more and more. Ive heard after you have opened a mascara container you should throw it out every 4 months. Hopefully i helped with the kind of makeup you were thinking.
