Is it ok to wash dishes and take a shower during a thunder storm?

Really don't shower in a thunderstorm!!! My friend was in the shower in a thunder storm, the lightning came through the window hit her. and now she is paralyzed for the rest of her life wheelchair bound. Don't do it. I'm not sure about the dishes though, you should be ok with them, but for heavens sake DO NOT SHOWER

Yes, thunder is most likely not going  to strike your house. The worst case scenario is that the power goes out. In this case you will be dark in a shower, and the dishwasher will stop. But no big deal really
