  1. My point of view is that we never waste time simply because there is a principle in economics which says that when we opt for doing something we just make a choice instead of something else or in other words an alternative choice in a scale which can more or less can be variable always. For instance, if we decide to study more instead of dedicate the most working hours, it is possible that the knowledge we can get by our study hour can save us working hours by making us more productive e.g. because we gained the know-how! Another example, dedicating more time to family makes us more healthy, our house environment becomes less frustrating, our kids possibly are going to have less problems in the future and then our carrier will be less likely in stake. This is why alternative choices which seem to be non productive, non profitable, lazy etc are in the end the presupposition of a happy life.

  2. Yeah, so long as you don't do it all the time.  ^_^  No one can keep going forever (well, the Energizer bunny doesn't count, okay).  The ice cream and chips probably isn't healthy though...

  3. Absolutely. Life is about the little things. Like lounging around and breathing. Sometimes, you just need down time--with no expectations. It is a way to recharge yourself so that you can be productive when you need to be. It is a gift to yourself to let go for a while. Moderation is key. Moderation in everything, except that, is gratitude--which acknowledges everything--even the less than perfect. I am thankful that you asked this question. It is a good reminder for us all to let go for a bit, and regroup!

  4. Yep!

We all waste time sometimes - or I wouldn't be answering a question that you wouldn't have asked.

    Relax and enjoy!

  5. It is okay to do whatever makes your life worth living. "wasting time" is a very subjective phrase muddled with social opinions and pressures, which are ultimately worthless.

If you believed life was more enjoyable by wasting it all away and being lazy, and if you could realize the emotion of content with that belief, then in your case, "wasting time" is your ideal way of life.

The bottom line is that time only has value insofar as it produces joy. Alas, many people are pigeonholed into situations where, no matter what they do with their time, there is no joy to be had: and this crude misery.

Looking at the matter from a farther point of view: if you wasted your life away and did nothing, it will not affect the world. In fact, the world will not notice you whether you fully employ your time or "waste" it all away. Therefore, do not use your time for the world. Use it for yourself if it produces happiness for you. If being lazy produces happiness for you, then this is how you should spend your life; however, be sure to speculate on how your sentiment will change in the future.

  6. not only is it ok its neccessary if u just keep going and going ur gonna burn out way too soon and not be able to do things when u need to its good and healthy to relax and splurging for urself is good too it gives u personal satisfaction which we all need to stay mentally healthy

  7. Isn't that why YA was invented? I don't consider it wasting my time.. I considering it exercising my right as a human to be informed of everyone else's opinions (and I would hate for my keyboard to cool off too much LOL)

  8. Of course! Sometimes you just need a personal mental health day. Just to make yourself feel good.

    : )

  9. Definitly those are the most fun days and everyone needs a day where they can unwind and do whatever.
