  1. Well look all electrical devices are a hazard when it comes to a thunderstorm. The more electrical devices turned on in your house the more likely it is for your power to go out. To find out more go to the site. http://www.fema.gov/hazard/thunderstorm/...

  2. I wouldn't talk on a cordless phone during a thunderstorm.  The lightning might be drawn to it.

  3. It is ok but for safety reason they say NO. It may strike you anytime.

Infact in USA one man was sitting in sofa and underneath his toe it was steel pin and it was thunderstorm outside and unfortunetly the thunderstorm attracted to that pin and hit the man....luckily he survived.

    So......anything can happen. be careful

  4. Lightening can strike the tv whether it's turned on or not unless you unplug it.  If your tv is still plugged into the wall, it stands no greater chance of damage whether you are watching it or not, same with the cordless phone, what is unsafe is to take a shower or bath, that can kill you.  I reccomend surge protectors on all valuable electronics to reduce the riskj of lightening damage.

  5. Generally no to the tv and yes to the cordless phone.

  6. I don't know about the cordless phone, but lightning can strike with the TV on.

  7. Why not cud be a shortcut to h**l .

  8. Yes to the cordless phone but I wouldn't watch T.V

  9. Best to switch everything off!

  10. yes and try sleeping under a tree or on the roof for extra safety.
