  1. You can actually use that water to fill your reservoir tank in the bathroom. Water your gardens, shrubs, small trees and indoor plants.  You can use it to wash your car and sidewalks and driveway and scrub decks. Lots of uses and it saves you money on your water bill.

If you are on well and septic, and a storm knocks out power, you can use rain run off water stored in containers to fill your reservoir tanks in the bathroom and be able to flush and use the bathroom.

  2. That will be great for your plants.  The usual thing to do with a rain barrel is to collect the water from the downspouts.  So rain coming off a roof is perfectly fine.

  3. absolutely. That is the best way to water your plants. I wish I was lucky enough to get rainwater. Go Green and enjoy.

  4. It's better than chlorine water that comes from the faucet.

  5. I think all should be fine, definatley, because its basically the same water that falls from the sky, except it has touched some stuff along the way...plus your saving water. Go you!

  6. You should be just fine. It might seem like there would be lots of chemicals coming from the roof runoff, but there is not. Those roofs are designed to last for 30 plus years! They are very durable. The rain water would hardly dissolve the shingles. I would say, Yes... Just fine!

  7. Rain water is good for your plants but not water with chemicals in it and stuff from roof shingles.

  8. it'll be ok if your city isn't really polluted and theres no acid rain.

  9. Yes, go for it.

  10. should be fine go green!!!
