Is it ok to wear a tennis skirt to golf?

My golf instructor said to wear a collared shirt and khaki shorts or a golf skirt. The problem is that I am about a zero and no golf skirts fit me. My tennis skirts have shorts under them, are only a little less than mid-thigh and are classy. Ralph Lauren etc. I'm very conservative and don't feel like my skirts would put me on display. The golf skirts I tried on simply swallow me! Is there a rule as to how many inches above the knee a skirt should be on the course?

Wear what you feel comfortable in. I would wear one to a lesson with your instructor and ask his opinion. Comfort is very important, but be aware of your local course dress policy.

You'll just have to check the clothing requirements of the golf course before you go to golf, that's all I can think of.

Inappropriate.

A golf skirt, is a golf skirt, and a tennis skirt, is a tennis skirt. They both serve different purposes, hence the reason why they have different names.

What do you mean no golf skirt fits you ? They must have some that fit you. You don't see fat golfers do you. What you think is too big, probably fits you, so just accept one of their skirts.

Depends on the dress code where you intend to play. You would not be able to use tennis shorts to play golf. at our club. The knee length are required.
