Is it ok as a man to wear a thong on a beach in cancun? Is it illegal or anything?

mmm..actually no.. you can wear it..it´s not illegal or something like that..the only thing that you can face, is that people might stare at you..but it´s ok. though. :)

Its not illegal but it is mentally traumatizing. I went there and i have nightmares about all the European men in speedoes.

Not illegal at all..... I guess that only nudity could be considered like that, though I've even seen european tourists go topless and nobody says a thing either. But yeah, it's not common at all so you might get some weird looks, but I don't think you should care about that anyway.
